When Susan Trigloff-Gutierrez gets in her truck, she is driving toward her goals. Her first goal is to deliver her load safely and on time. However, she has a more personal goal, to send her three sons to college. “I wanted … something that I could put my boys through college on and this seemed like the career that I could make the money that would be needed.” She continued, “My oldest son is in college, my second one will start the spring semester and then my youngest one will graduate next June.” She requires them to approach college in the same manner she approaches her career. “There’s an agreement, they have to be professional,” just like she is on the road. “You have to be professional. You’ve got to talk to different customers.” Trigloff-Gutierrez got into trucking when given the opportunity to ride with a friend. That experience convinced her that she could be successful as a driver. She attended trucking school, obtained her CDL and her road to success began.fuel surcharge plan; we get fleet price. … They have a very good maintenance program. They help you along, discounts on tires and things like that.
Trigloff-Gutierrez had other goals, one being to own her own truck and another, to drive for Anderson Trucking Service. She has reached both through Anderson’s lease purchase program. “My dream when I first started driving a truck was to own my own, so this has worked out really well. The lease purchase program is probably one of the better ones out there.” Trigloff-Gutierrez explained her journey to Anderson after being a company driver for other companies. “Anderson, I mean, I was very impressed with them. I wanted to come here right off the bat, however … you needed more experience, but I was fresh out of school. … I got my experience and when I was able to come over here, that is exactly what I did. I have been with Anderson about a year and a half, and I have been driving four and a half years.” Another goal Trigloff-Gutierrez has reached is obtaining her class 3 license, allowing her to haul specialized freight. She explained, “I can haul anything, the general freight … to some of the heavy haul stuff. … It takes having the higher class in the licenses, learning … where you are allowed to be, what bridges you can go under if you are tall, things like that. There is a lot of work to it.” And Trigloff-Gutierrez mentioned one more goal. “I intend to retire doing this.” If you have big goals, let Anderson Trucking help you meet them with a career at Anderson Trucking Service, fill out an appliction or call a recruiter today at 800-343-8787. |
